Hadabogi's last gift

This is the mosiac my dad was working on for me. Sadly he never got to finish it. One of the other ladies in his group (at the day centre he attended) offered to complete it for me. My mother and I picked it up this week. I love it. I can't wait to frame and hang it.

Hudson helped me write our grocery list. Milk, bread, avacado, and cream. I read out the letters, and he wrote them down. Smarty-pants, eh?

He likes to play "school". This is his homework. Shapes and numbers. "9's" are tricky ;)

Funny conversation with Hudson this morning as I was putting away his toys...

Hudson: "Is it Mother's Day today?"
Me: "No, Mother's Day is over"
Hudson: "Good, so I don't have to clean up my toys today...YOU clean them up"

What tha?!?

P.S. In case you were wondering...we both put away his toys after that.

An "awwwww" moment. Aren't they sweet?

I think the hand/fist/thumb sucking is what keeps this little stinker asleep for so long...he has learned to pacify himself which has resulted in me getting almost a full night's sleep. Sleep = the best Mother's Day present!

Curses and Spells

My sister in law put it perfectly...

somebody has a voodoo doll of us...

and somewhere, out there, they are laughing wickedly as they keep poking us with pointy needles.

Rob's recent employer has filed for bankruptcy protection. Paycheques are bouncing. People are not showing up for work, fearing that they are working for "free". Rob is working MORE hours to make up for it. And believe me, we are in no position for him to be working for FREE.

If the person holding the little dolls shaped like me and Rob is reading this...please cast your spells elsewhere.

lazy sunday

Hudson wanted to take a nap in the livingroom today.
It's a beautiful day here today so I have the windows open and it's warm and breezy in the house. Perfect atmosphere for an afternoon nap.
